Good Morning GSL members!!!!
Wow. It’s starting to get hot and humid!!!
Make sure you are getting in your garden daily to keep an eye on your plants, but also make sure you are taking care of yourself!! Try to avoid the heat of the day, get up early and get out and water if needed. I have had to water more this year than I did last year, the heat, wind, and even your soil can be the reason you have to water more and each year is different.
In the evening I double check my plants and make sure they are not getting sun scalded or are to stressed, if they are getting to much sun, you can add on a sun shade if needed, I suggest adding in trees to help with the canopy but it will take a while until the trees are established, but you can always improvise with a shade cloth until then.
Remember I’m here if you need to discuss your garden. And I hope you are getting the most out of your garden spaces

@Everyone have you noticed any issues with your plants in the garden that you believe are due to the heat?
Some of the signs your plants are getting to hot or damaged from to much sun exposure is:
Leaf cupping
Sun scald( yes your plants can sun burn)
Poor germination
Droopy leaves
Leaf color may fade
There are other signs that may be an indicator that your plants are struggling.
